Hope that CS Experience will enable teachers to share their own Scratch files with students as this feature wasn’t available in CS First. Only option was to download and upload which was a bit clunky.
Useful to be able to share files for them to debug or a parsons problem or just for differentiation or a background they could use etc.

As the presenter of the Kenya Computer Science for All Bill, 2025, RSK has already laid the legislative foundation for integrating computer science education from Grade 4 to university. This aligns directly with the goals of Experience CS, which supports the integration of computer science into core subjects for learners aged 8–14. RSK can bridge policy and practice by partnering with schools, teacher training institutions, and government agencies to contextualize and localize the Experience CS curriculum within the Kenyan CBC framework. Moreover, with the recent launch of the Kenya Artificial Intelligence Strategy 2025–2030, which champions AI and data science in all education sectors, RSK can expand Experience CS by incorporating hands-on AI and robotics learning through clubs, coding camps, and low-cost hardware like Raspberry Pi. This holistic approach will equip learners with essential 21st-century digital skills, foster innovation, and position Kenya as a continental leader in AI, robotics, and digital education.

Looking forward to learning more about Experience CS. Are there any advance previews or sneak peeks available?

I have always loved that it integrated with Google Classroom so I hope that continues with Experience CS. I also love to provide kids with feedback, but CSFirst never had a great way to do that. I liked that I could check kids’ code and that when I opened a student’s project any changes I made didn’t actually take effect since I was essentially in view only mode similar to a Google Doc. I would love to be able to use the comment feature that Scratch has to guide kids where to look for bugs or to keep working. It would also be awesome if there would be some attention getting notification to move students’ attentions to those comments when they first open the project. In the past the only way to give feedback was in Google Classroom, but it wasn’t super helpful because it was removed from the coding interface. In addition, it would be nice if teachers COULD edit students’ code. For example, typing out all the coding blocks a student might need would be cumbersome. But adding a quick comment and dragging out the blocks they’d need without connecting them might be a good scaffolding method.

Thanks again for all you’re doing!
