Thank you so much for sharing your experience and thoughtful reasons for using OctoStudio with the children in your community, Phuti! We have been grateful to collaborate on its development with the Creative Coding team at Faculty of Education at University of Johannesburg, including Linford Molaodi. We hope to continue to learn from your experience supporting learners in your community to create and share projects. Sending many well wishes from MIT, Natalie

We also use it at our CoderDojo.

I immediately fell in love with it. Here are the reasons that attracted my attention:
– It’s inclusive and embraces indigenous and African languages.
– It offers a variety of sprites.
– It includes numerous loops.
– The backdrops reflect various cultures.
– You can save your project as a video or document.
– It’s shareable on various platforms.
I like it so much for the children in my community and rural who can not access coding resources because its accessible in play store. I see it as a vehicle to guide our rural learners, more especially girls, toward brighter futures and potential careers.
